This belt was tricky for us to figure out at first, having never used one, but it's actually very easy to use. We're not using it as a gait/transfer belt but rather a way to keep a subtle hold on our autistic daughter who sometimes elopes and can't safely walk in public by herself. Our other option was a harness for her, but she expressed the want for something more discreet which made this belt with handles perfect!!

The Gait Belt from SupreGear is well made and the belt webbing feels heavy duty. The handles are padded and attached well using a square box style attachment with a X through the center. Pulling on the handles, none of the stitches show from the underside. The padded handles have enough gap to make it easy hold someone when transferring, lifting or walking. The way the handles are made, it would also be easy to grab one in an emergency. The purple handles add a fun touch and the light/bright color also helps me find the belt more easily. As I get older I realize things that are all black get lost and are hard for me to find.

My mom's doctor suggested she get one of these. This is just what she needed. It fits comfortably and the anti slip liner and handles are great. Good grip to hold and help assist someone. For the price, you are getting a good product.
